Register Users

End users must register themselves to RICOH CloudStream Device Management (DM) so they can use the Ricoh MFP and perform secure printing and scanning. User Management and user registration is available only if you have a RICOH CloudStream Print&Scan license.

There are two types of users who can register for the CloudStream DM application.

External LDAP or OIDC administrators who login to CloudStream DM portal (not the User Registration page) will not be registered as users in the User Management.

If you plan to register external administrators as users in the User Management, please have them register their own accounts by following instructions below.

 

LDAP User Registration

Order Instructions

Install Auth Agent service on your server.

This step is necessary, so your On-Premise or cloud LDAPS configuration works with CloudStream DM. Please see Auth Agent Installation for instructions.

Create an LDAP authentication profile.

For instructions, please go to LDAP Authentication Profile.

Add Ricoh devices to CloudStream DM.

Refer to Add Devices to CloudStream DM for instructions.

Configure the embedded client.

For instructions, refer to Configure Print&Scan Embedded Client.

Install the RICOH CloudStream Print&Scan Embedded app on the devices.

Register LDAP users.

LDAP users must login to the MFP to register their accounts with CloudStream DM User Management.

OpenID Connect (OIDC) User Registration

Order Instructions

Set up the Email Server Settings.

An email message containing the OTP will be sent to the OIDC user. You must have a working Email Server so users can receive their OTP. The OTP is required to register an OIDC user's access card.

If the email server setting is not yet configured, please see the instructions in Email Server Settings.

Create an OIDC authentication profile.

Add Ricoh devices to CloudStream DM.

Refer to Add Devices to CloudStream DM for instructions.

Configure the embedded client.

Install the RICOH CloudStream Print&Scan Embedded app on the devices.

Register OIDC users.

OIDC users must login to the User Registration page and have their external OIDC provider authenticate them. Successful authentication registers the user to the CloudStream DM User Management.

After successful registration, an OIDC user will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) sent to their email. When logging into Ricoh Devices, they must use the OTP as their password to login and register an access card.
